Two Men Formally Indicted with Jail Killing of Ex-Lostprophets Vocalist Ian Watkins

A pair of suspects stand accused of murder following the jailhouse death of ex-Lostprophets frontman and adjudicated child sex criminal Ian Watkins.

Samuel Dodsworth, 43, and Rashid Gedel, 25 have both been charged with murder and are set to face Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, per police authorities.

Watkins, 48, was in the midst of a 29-year prison term at HMP Wakefield, with a further six years to be served on licence, after admitting a string of sex offences among them the effort to sexually assault an infant.

Watkins was apprehended subsequent to a narcotics search warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a substantial collection of electronic devices including computers, phones and drives were confiscated.
