Aircraft Spins Uncontrollably into Palm Groves at Popular Southern California Coast
A chopper flying above a popular southern California beach unexpectedly began spiraling wildly, eventually descending rapidly and smashing into a line of palm trees as onlookers observed.
Recordings shared on the internet capture the chopper beginning to twirl above the beach then falling towards the border of the shore, where it ends up lodged amidst palm groves and a staircase close to the coastal road.
Rescue Operation Information
Local firefighters stated five individuals were transported to a medical facility comprising a pair who were in the helicopter and were “extracted safely from the crash site” after the accident on that day.
Three people on the street were harmed. Details on their condition were not yet released.
The reason for the accident was still under investigation.
